Getting married after PPR

Thanks a lot ,, I have received the reply. They have asked to submit my passport and COPR for cancelling Visa. Where should i Submit these documents as the same has not been mentioned in the message. I had earlier submitted in VFS global for Visa Stamping.

I used the VFS global. Same way as I send it for stamping. Take the first page of the letter asking to return the COPR and attach it in the envelope with the passport and COPR.

Thanks.. But when I asked VFS, they told me that they cannot accept passport and COPR until I have explicit mail from IRCC to submit my passport and COPR in VFS. Somebody told me to mail it to Canadian Embassy in delhi. I have also asked the official Twitter handle of IRCC. They have asked to submit via mail. But have not clarified the address to which i have to mail. I have asked them again, waiting for their reply.
U have any more info..??

Hi, guys, I got PPR on 27th Sept 2017 and married after that.It's been 90+ days since I submitted my husband's documents (med included) through case specific request on 21st Nov ; my husband's UCI was added on 28th , and my med expired couple of days ago. Right now my account reads 'u do not need a med at this time' and ' the additional documents u provided is are being reviewed', which means we're still expecting his Mep and my second med request before the new double PPR is re-issued. I'm thinking about ordering GCMS notes to expedite the process.

Such a long wait is so excruciating I need a hug.

I printed the email that I got from the embassy and showed them at VFS. They didn't make any trouble. But it might depends on different VFS's, so you better check with someone having same situation like yours at same visa office.

Hi guys,

Need your kind advice.

I am getting married in march and have my copr in hand. My fiance has her passport with no surname. Post marriage she wants to have my surname added to her name which will also reflect in marriage certificate. My questions are:
1. Does she need to go for change of details in passport such as last name, addition of spouse name and change of marital status before gettin her medical and pcc done?
2. Do i need to go for change in similar details in my passport too befre addung her to my application?
3. Can i inform CIC 7 days after getting married?
4. Or can my spouse get her medical and pcc done before marriage and i submit all her docs to the application and then go for change in passport?
5. Her and my permanent address in passport are going to be different for next 6 months since she s working in a government job and her tansfer will take 6 months. Will this create any problem?
6. Is it really required to upload spouse birth certificate or will other identity docs do ?

Hi friends need urgent help!

I have uploaded my spouse documents recently and I have included my spouse medical( upfront) in medical slot that was available.

Now after few days I have got the request from ircc to submit spouse medical( form IMM1017_2


1. does this request mean I have to resubmit my spouse’s medicals? Or I should get the medicals done again and submit new report (I.e. IMM1017_2) form?

2. There is no slot available to upload the medical again, should I ask them to provide me slot ? ( I have already uploaded documents in slot when I have submitted other requested forms)

I got ppr on jan 9 and status got changed on jan 10, so i didnt send my passort for stamping.

I have raised a CSE via web form and attached the document(the same document that I have received when I did upfront medical.) and I have received an email from CIC that they have forwarded the document to the concerned department. I have added LOE as well as written in CSE web form that I did upfront medical and sharing the same.

My case is that I have gotten my marriage done in court but my wedding is planned end of March. There is no proof of living together or any pictures etc. When should I notify CIC ? My case is currently IP2 and I am expecting COPR soon.
