Hi

I got married 7 years back but we have not registered our marriage, it was arranged marriage and happened in temple that time we have not registered. Recently i came to canada in work permit (7 months back), now i am planning to bring my husband and son here, but we are facing issue getting marriage certificate. We heard both party should be available to get marriage certificate but i am not in a position to travel.

If you any one knows the way to get certificate please guide me.

Thanks in advance

As the marriage was not registered, your husband can still try with the evidence available for getting it registered at this stage. He has to obtain the copy of temple record or certification from the care takers of temple responsible for records. However getting a belated certification or registration would be more difficult than what we think.

Hi, it should be better to get it registered at the town or district, where your marriage cerimony was taken place. He can enquire at the Panchayat or Municipal office for more details about the procedure. Usually they are the local government authority responsible to issue the certificates like birth, death, marriage etc... which can be registered at the office of Registration in that jurisdiction.

Could you please provide little more about commiittee office>

Today my husband tried in registered and Panchayat office but in our local Panchayat not providing any marriage certificate it seems. And when in registered they mentioned it is not possible without both present.

I am literally in helpless situtation. Could any one provide guidance with details?

Is marriage affitavity accepted for applying dependent visa (canada)?

Thanks
