Hello,

I am 17 years old from Iran with a GPA of 4.995 or 19.98 in one of the best high schools in Iran. I have Khwarazmi International Rewards; however I do not have any researches or articles. I am seeking to get a scholarship in one if the colleges or universities of Toronto for the dentistry.
Does anyone know where should I start to find a full scholarship, and if it is necessary how to find a research subject in this field and how to find a professor?

Thank you so much in advance.

Firstly, you have to study sciences, in Canada there is no direct entry to dentistry

You do a 3 year undergraduate program with specific courses at university and then apply for dentistry. There are few full scholarships for undergrad degrees. Talk to the university. As for dentistry, talk to them about scholarships once you get admission as there are only 96 spots. Yo are talking about research projects which would be for the masters level. First get into a science degree program that checks off the eligibility requirements for the dentistry program.

Thank you so much for all the information.
Regarding the science degree, this is gonna be bachelors, am I right?
Also, do you know if I can bring my parents with me or not? if yes, are they gonna be eligible for work permit, and applying for PR at some point?

Thanks

Yes, bachelors. Pay first year tuition and show a minimum of $10,000. You will need to show funds for three years of study.

No your parents can’t come with you. They may be approved for a visitor visa but can’t work in Canada. As for PR, they need to look at whether they can immigrate based on their own merit (education, skills, language, age etc.)

Expect that you won’t get a scholarship to attend dentistry as an international student. You will need to show that you can pay for a bachelors degree which will likely require proof of around 100k+ and a dentistry degree will be closer to 250-300k as an international student and it can take multiple attempts to get accepted. Many Canadians go abroad to study dentistry because they haven’t been accepted after a few attempts. Canada has a surplus of dentists in most areas especially cities.
