The Canadian lawyer in Shanghai got all my documents translated in 1 day with an affidavit. Also, much cheaper than the Chinese notary public office. Just for a quick comparison, I had the Chinese notary public translate / notarize 1 document. It cost ~450 RMB and they're still not done 1 week later. The lawyer cost 4000RMB for 17 documents translated and notarized, plus 5-6 other documents just notarized, and they got in done in 1 day!
