Getting a new Passport Card from USA while in Canada.. have a question

So, I applied for a new passport card on September 8th as my passport book was lost before landing (ugh). On the 11th they said it was complete & mailed via First Class mail. I am absolutely terrified. First class mail sucks from USA to Canada! Stuff gets lost all the time! My COPR expires December 17th, and if I don't land by then, they said I have to re-do the whole entire PR application again, as they won't extend it!

My questions:
1. Has anyone else gotten their passport from the USA shipped to Canada using First Class mail?
2. Anyone know the average time for a piece of First Class mail to travel from USA to Canada? (Specifically, Arkansas to Toronto, ON)

I AM FREAKIN OUT.

First class USPS takes two weeks max, and that's for something to come from Montana to PEI.

I didn't do a passport card, but sent for a passport book renewal. There were no issues at all getting it back to me in a timely manner and not lost at all.

I've had first class take up to 5 weeks just from California, but haven't ever had anything lost in the mail.

I did. I renewed my US passport from Canada in 2009 when it expired. I applied at the US Consulate in Toronto and had my passport mailed to my home address in Toronto. It came via first class mail in a brown envelope from the US State Department if I recall correctly. No problems. I don't recall how long it took however. Maybe a month from when I applied (so the month includes processing time + mail time)

Well guys, I got it in the mai ltoday! ;D

I applied Sept. 8th, it says issued Sept. 9th, and I got it in the mail today, Sept 18th. Not too bad!! Time to land!

When I updated my passport to my married name last month I traveled to the US consulate in Toronto on August 31, 2105 and received my new updated passport book on September 11, 2015.
Now a whole different story with my FBI fingerprints....mailed to FBI on May 11, 2105 from Ontario on August 5th they said they were mailed to my address in Ontario.....still have yet to receive. I had to email them a letter stating I did not receive them and yesterday I received a call stating they were going to re-mail them this coming Monday. Let's hope the mail does not take that long or get lost.

Oh lord.... I had a bad situation with them as well. Submitted my fingerprints in January, along comes June and nothing. I got a document request from CIC asking for them. I call FBI & they tell me "oh, your card got declined. They were done in April, but we had to dispose of them as we didn't have a valid payment method." I was like wow are you kidding me? So I filled and sent out the updated payment form... couple weeks later they were here in the mail. My goodness...

I do have a question for you, though. We are going to land at the Niagara land border. Is there a certain time that I am not allowed to go there and land? Or can I go 24/7? Can't really find any info on it!! Lol.

The Peace Bridge, Rainbow Bridge and Lewiston Bridge crossings are all 24/7. The NEXUS only Whirlpool Bridge is 7am-11pm 7 days a week.

I know the Windsor borders (near me) are 24/7, I looked online at the hours, I am unsure of Niagara. Did you land this weekend?

I did We went on September 20th and I landed without any problems
