Hi there, hope everyone is doing great.

I hv a query. Has anyone got their PRCs mailed to Riyadh, KSA? Our cards were issued in July 2016 any idea if they are RFID enabled, and there will be no issue in couriering them to KSA. We have a plan to move to Canada for good in Dec'18.

Needless to say we will go for PRTD if PRCs are not in our possession by Dec'18. However just want to avoid the cost and hassle of getting PRTD.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Does KSA routinely seize incoming packaging that have RFID signals?

Couriering PR cards is not illegal in Canada. So it's only the receiving country you need to worry about.

Thanks Rob. I need to check this from DHL or Fedex that whether customs in KSA seizes RFID enabled dox.

What if i request someone to bring along when they travel to ksa so to deliver the cards to me by hand. Would there be any issue at the airport in Canada, it will surface in the scanner and CBSA might inquire abt it.

Which scanner is this given my current understanding is that PR card RFID scanners are only operational at land borders into the country in order to smooth the passage of vehicle traffic so that by the time a vehicle arrives for inspection the occupants details are already available.

When did they install PR card scanners at airport departures or even ask to see someones PR card and matching passport on departure ?

Too easy to over think the whatifs for something people do every day without any problem at all

This is fine, nobody in Canada will care.
