Hello,
after the refuse of our conjugal application, me and my partner have decided to get marry.
I would like to ask some information to couples that get marry in Toronto (civil marriage).
My partner has called the local office and they told her that to get marry are necessary only two personal IDs (such as passport and/or another document with english details)...that's all?
No other documents are necessary?
Someone can share their experiences with the forum?
I also read that for the marriage certificate (to attach to the spouse application) are necessary about 4-5 weeks, is it not possible to attach to the spouse application a temporary certificate released the same day of the marriage?
Another question, in my country (Italy) there are laws about the division of personal assets. In fact, the day of the marriage the couple can decide to share (or not) the personal assets with the partner, I know that in Canada there is not this possibility and laws.
My doubt is: When the marriage certificate will be communicated to my embassy/consulate, which type of choose will be applied?
The day of the marriage, may I attach a declaration of my choose that it will be send with the certificate of marriage to my embassy/consulate?
Thanks in advance for the responses.
Best regards.
Alberto.
