No. I did not pay anything. Just follow the questionnaire and they will send you an acknowledgement email. They usually get back within 30 calendar days but this may vary depending on individual applications. I applied for the notes on 1st Oct and expecting them soon.
I have read that inland applicants do not need to pay but outland applicants pay a nominal fee to get their notes via private websites (I think, getgcms.com or something)
