Hi All,
My PR got approved, and I have sent a passport for COPR (Confirmation of PR).
I am already living in Canada on Work Permit and trying to see if I can get COPR validated without Flag Poling.
I am reading through the Canada Immigration web site, and it suggests two option. As a first option, they are recommending to make an appointment to their office and the second option to go to Canadian [Port of Entry] (Perhaps Flag Poling).
Is there any reason (anyone aware of ) that I should not consider to visit the Immigration office and instead should go with Flag Poling?
I hesitate to go with Flag Poling option since I am holding USA L1 visa which can be used for Work/Job related travel only. So I cannot use L1 permit for Flag poling process, and I am worried that the USA office might cancel the current L1 permit or create another issue for future USA travel on L1 Visa.
Any expert advice?
Below are the two sites explaining the options to get COPR validated.
