I answered your question in the thread you posted. David Cohen can fill out the paperwork for you, and I'm sure he'd do a very good job. You can also fill out the paperwork yourself. If you do it right, you will have the same score and the same outcome. If you mess it up (doing something like forgetting to include all the required documents that they ask for), you may have your application rejected.
If you don't meet the criteria, there's nothing an attorney can do.
So, the questions are "do you qualify", "how good are you at filling forms out", and "is filling out forms worth $2,000 to you"? If your answers are "yes", "poor", and "yes", then a consultant is definitely the right decision for you.
I would recommend starting with the "come to Canada" wizard.
