I just started looking over and filling out the generic application form, trying to get a head start on things (for January), and I have a few questions (I've currently been "visiting" Canada since Dec 2013 to establish a common-law marriage with my partner).
-First thing is number 10, it asks for my current country of residence. I'm applying outland but I'm living in Canada. Do I put Canada and that my status is a visitor? If so, on the from and to section do I put the first date I "moved" here or the last time I re-entered? I moved on Dec 30, 2013, but my last entry was Sept 2, 2014.
-Also, on number 13, it asks when my common-law relationship began. Do they want the very beginning of the relationship or the date in which we became officially common-law?
-Number 14 asks about previous marriages. I have two and there is only room for one. Do I attach another page for the first one or just leave it off? (I'm assuming I should tell them about it)
-And then, last thing.. Is my residential address the same as my mailing address? I say yes, will this get me into trouble? It's confusing because to be in a common-law marriage, I must live with my partner for a year, yet I cannot legally "live" in Canada. I don't want to say the wrong thing and get rejected. Thanks!
