Hi Everyone,

Hope you are fine. I have a question about the section "contact information" of Form IMM008.

- Is there any requirement that the address based on which the police clearance certificate is to be issued (which is the permanent address of principal applicant as per the passport) has to be same as current mailing and/or residential address under contact information section?

My spouse passport address is the permanent address of her suburb home. But She lives in the city (which is her mailing and residential address at present). Is there any requirement that the residential address has to be same as the address that is mentioned in the police clearance certificate?

Please advise

thanks n regards

I wouldn't think so. But here's a thought. The section that asks for this information suggests (in the third bullet) that if you will be designating an authorized representative, then you use that persons "mailing" and "email address". In our case, we authorized 'myself' (the sponsor) as an "Authorized Representative" simply in the event that the need ever arose, "I" could call CIC (from here in Canada) on my wife's behalf, and they would be permitted/obligated to speak with me about her application. We never needed to but if you don't do this, immigration will NOT talk to you (even though you're the sponsor) about details surrounding your spouses application.
