No, mine was never refused, I applied in General.

Mine in M Eng in Windsor.

By rules it should be around 21 working days (stands for around 1 month).

When I put off papers at VFS, At that time I was quite ignorant of everything related to VFS and CHC, was told by VFS that I will get "Initial Response" with in 15 days. Oh! I was so happy, I thought with in 15 days I will get my visa and on 16th day I will be watching beautiful Air Hostess in Air Canada flight. but..... ab sochta hun ki yaar Visa de do, wahi bahut hai ! Air Hostess nahi dekhni....

In short, if all of yours papers are in order, you will get visa with in 1 month.

What is the reason for such a humongous delay??

Problem is little complex,

I lost my Passport on 15th May. Got police FIR on 17th. Applied for a new PP on 18th May, got New PP on 19th May (keep in mind I got it with in 24 hours even when under TATKAL one can get PP only after 4 working days). And finally applied for a visa on the very NEXT day on 20th May.

I used a very high level contact in getting PP, and now it has come to my knowledge that CHC asking for all details and there are also some other issues.

I got into UBC. It was my first attempt for Visa, though I was selected for one more school in 2009, but didnt proceed.
