general ielts for student visa

Hi,
can anybody tell me shall I apply for student visa on gen-ielts score
do I get visa?

name some universities those accept general Ielts.

Do you guys want to study in Canada but atleast grow some brain cells. If universities accept general Ielts then why bother creating another format called academic. Don't be a cheapo spend some money and take academic module test dates are available three times per month. Ielts is not a mandatory requirement of CIC however If you can prove your language proficiency some other way then it is okay not to send Ur Ielts with your application like if u have done your schooling in A level or in a English speaking country. General Ielts is for immigration purpose and academic module is for study purpose. Not submitting academic module score will say alot about your mental capacity and your financial habits/strength infront of visa officer
