Technically, it shouldn't be but based on my CBSA notes, they received my file on August 17 and started my security check in the last week of August. What's your AOR? Cos it's usually better to order CBSA if you security has exceeded 5months. If it's just commencing when, you won't get much info
Aor is Sept 1st, 2018. My last update was Nov 13th, 2018. So I'm thinking SS started then. I'll order CBSA notes next week so I know what's going on.

Normal priority? Type A34?

Correct

I think SS is quicker for biometric applicants, I maybe wrong
Or maybe its my visas which made it quick

I have valid US, UK and Schengen visas
Travel to UK every year and have been to the US as well

Can't really say how they work. We'll get to know when more applicants with SS get the golden email

Congratulations to you!
I also have a valid US and Schengen visas, and A34 SS, but my AOR is in July, hence no biometrics required.
It's my 6th month of SS. Do hope they'll process me as quickly as you.

Don't worry, as long as your eligibility is cleared, you'll get the golden mail sooner or later

Yeah, it's cleared. Still hope to get PPR quicker rather than in 2-3-4 years, haha

From what I read on CBSA website, they are allowed to take 9 to 14 months on security screening hence the total application time shouldn't exceed 1.5 year if your eligibility is cleared.

Thank you!
It said comprehensive security screening

Hi,

Did yours actually say comprehensive security screening? I got my cbsa and csis notes and they both just say security screening in progress.

Hope your theory on biometric or visas is true, because I've done biometrics, have valid US, Schengen and UK visas. My AOR is June 28th and I got a ghost update on 12th December in which everything was updated and approved except my security.

Ordered CBSA, CSIS and GCMS notes all again today. Let's see how long they take to come.

Hi all,

My husband is under SS from November 2018. Eligibility - approved.
He is an outland applicant and his file is in LA office. The last time we have followed up with the visa office a couple of weeks ago they have responded with requesting the updated FBI Police certificate which we have provided this week. Has anyone been asked an updated police certificate from the country you currently reside before you got approved?

check under your Admissibilites section for the security information.
there you will find the SS info mentioned.
what is your nationality and when did you give Biometrics?
from what i know applicants from AOR with Aug 1st onwards were asked to give biometrics only

Does anyone know if cbsa notes tell how much more time is required for completion or how much progress has been made ?

no they dont. they are just like GCMS notes but with all the hidden info shown (info hidden in GCMS due to SS)
