No.. as far as i know background check is when your Security begins aka ip2 and SS is Security Screening and usually people use it to denote comprehensive bgc. Isn’t it so?BGC and ss start date are the same. Ss is bgc, just a very long in depth background check
No. BGC is Security Screening. The difference is how each one takes.No.. as far as i know background check is when your Security begins aka ip2 and SS is Security Screening and usually people use it to denote comprehensive bgc. Isn’t it so?
From what I understand when background check starts (IP2) it means that criminality has been initiated (check of police certificates). Security can come later on once criminality is passed. In my case the background check started on the 8th of November and Security 12th of December. Not sure when my SS started though but I think 12th of December too (I wish it was earlier on though).No.. as far as i know background check is when your Security begins aka ip2 and SS is Security Screening and usually people use it to denote comprehensive bgc. What do you see on your background check status? Mine says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information", which means IP2Hi Pris,
My CIC application/account isn't showing the IP1 and IP2 status at all... I have an update from CIC that my file has been sent to New Delhi Office...
It's been more than 8 months since AOR.... Can you please help??
Thanks Pris...What do you see on your background check status? Mine says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information", which means IP2
Are you sure you are in security screening? To me it looks more like you are under review required since your background check has not even started, but I might be wrong. Have you ever ordered GCMS notes? Thanks Pris...
My CIC status reads:
Background check - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
However, I wrote to CIC (webform) and they said that "
We verified the information provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.
Rest assured that we will communicate with you once a decision is taken.
Furthermore, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at the Canadian visa office in New Delhi, India."
What do I make of this??????
