My father's application was under SS since Nov 2016. Today I received GCMS notes. One activity for security plus 4 activities for security screening. Anybody here with 4 security screening entries?

For those who are stuck in security screening, I have created a predictive-model in Google Sheets.

This model takes into consideration the information of PPR date of those who were in Security Screening, and who are still in Security Screening. Model has automatic adjustment feature by which it will continue to monitor the new PPR date, as well as delay that is happening to existing SS victims. All forum members are welcome to enter their details to get an idea about statistically predicted PPR date based on historical data. Of course this is an indication and you can continue to monitor sheet for changing trend of CBSA/CSIS/IRCC because sheet will continue to automatically update. Moreover, sheet also automatically recommends File Mandamus for those whose delay has crossed the above-average limits.

Hi, good to see this great job. Can I ask for those people with "file mandamus", have they really hired lawyers and file mandamus?

From the logic irfan khan put, it seems it is a recommendation coming out of the sheet automatically when someone has already crossed more then 14 months in Security Screening, so after that model is automatically recommending him to "File Mandmaus"

The sheet mentioned in above link has been updated with new information and new dates has been predicted and a summary of how many applicants are in security screening and how many are in normal security screening processing time and how many above average etc. With some new information about applicants who got PPR and their data has created new averages that has resulted in automatic renewed predictive dates for predictive PPR date.

Further new features in the Google Sheet for Forecasting PPR date has been added:-

Predictive PPR Date in Case you are in Normal SS Processing Slot
Predictive PPR Date in Case you are in Above Average SS Processing Slot
Predictive Date After Which You Should think of Filing Mandamus Case

As of now the summary of sheet is as under which will also continue to increase as more SS-Victims are added:-

Number of Applicants in Normal Security Screening Processing Time:121
Number of Applicants Who Got PPR:6
Number of Applicants Whose Processing Time is Above Average:19
Total SS-Applicants in the list:146

You are also most welcome to try your luck by clicking on following link:-

I read on the forum that if you have SS, you would have Type: Security Screening.
Yeah that's what I've heard as well. Can someone please shed light on this.

I've also heard that in the new notes it only says "Security" with S.15(1) code written on the top right hand corner.

You don't see SS in recent GCMS notes (there may be some exceptions though), but can see Security with Sub-activities hidden under S.15(1) and/or S.16 clauses. Most likely it means SS as some have confirmed here by ordering CSIS/CBSA notes.

Thanks. But I have also seen people in other forums who had exactly the same layout with Security and S.15(1) written on a blank page and they weren't under SS. They just went through a usual security check.

Maybe. What I am trying to say is that if someone is undergoing SS, the sub-activities don't always show SS because the information is hidden. In that case CSIS notes can confirm the status of SS.

how many Security 'Activities' should there usually be when SS is done ?

Because my GCMS shows 9 of them! According to the notes, SS started September 22nd, 2017. Then the Security check got cancelled on December 1st, 2017 (after 4 security entries), then started again, with 5 more activities showing. That's 9 activities in total. Any ideas?
