GCMS notes has a sub-activity name Security Screening with status as Not started. This will have date and is not erased. That date is considered as your SS start date.Hi guys. How do you know when your SS started. In my GCMS notes the dates and other information under the subactivity for SS is erased.
I received the same reply via email, although it is still 3 months to the deadline (6 months).Contacted CIC Ottawa last week, they told me my file is under "additional verification" and expect more than the usual processing times. Didnt order GCMS but from the tone and wording of their reply i believe i am under SS. Also BGC In progress since late May/early June with AOR of March 22. What do you guys think?
Interesting. Either both of us are under SS or that's a standard reply they send to buzz us off.I received the same reply via email, although it is still 3 months to the deadline (6 months).
May be they are buzzing us off, That was my 4th email and coming after 4 calls!Interesting. Either both of us are under SS or that's a standard reply they send to buzz us off.
What did they say in the calls ? And the other emails had the same response ? I called once too and she said all was in order just wait till the 6 month period or more.May be they are buzzing us off, That was my 4th email and coming after 4 calls!
did you receive them? SS?I ordered notes to make sure
From pak too, almost touching 180 days since AOR , didn't order gcms but might be in SS. Emailed them and said additional verifications going on for me. Haven't lived in pak though. My timeline is very similar to yours - BG --> IP2 on 3rd June. AOR on February 1.
Also, after scanning a lot of posts, I feel like some people are making SS seem more gloomy than it needs to be. There appears to be average time of about 5 months to clear it, with very few cases going into 9 months and even fewer to longer.
I am also from Pakistan - but each case is dramatically different - you can't just generalize about Pakistani citizenship.
For instance, I had to submit 3 PCCs from 3 different continents and have had FBI clearances in the US (for this and for working in federal institutions) in the past - so everyone's different with different countries of residence and travel histories. Depending on the amount of information people have in their background, I imagine that SS can last long or be quite short. Also, in my experience, working with different governments, sometimes more verifiable information in your history is better than hardly any. So travel history that is legit and verifiable is not a bad thing.
Fingers crossed for a quick clearance. I am going to stay positive for this to be resolved within 3-4 months. Its already been 2.5 months...so another month and a half to go!
I have just ordered them today!Did you receive
did you receive them? SS?
They mentioned "security report" is awaited; afterwards the decision is to be made. They said eligibility, criminality and medicals are passed. That was confirmed in 2 callsWha
