I got the golden mail this morning!!!

A review of my time line.

CEC-inland
AOR: March 5th, 2019
Med Passed on April 10th, 2019
Security Check: Jun 27th
Ordered GCMS Notes in August and got it in Nov. Eligibility passed, criminal check passed, security screening.
Ordered CBSA notes and haven't received it yet.
Ordered CSIS notes and it says ss in progress. (in Dec)
GU in early January (couldn't remember when)
another GU on Jan 20, 2020
made an inquiry through webform and they replied with "the background verifications are currently valid."
anyother GU on Jan 22, 2020 it was medical extension.
PPR on Jan 23, 2020

Many thanks to all the friends in this thread who kindly answered my questions and inspired me with their experience.

This is a long and difficult journey and we will start a new one. We were in the same boat once. I probably will stay in this forum for a little while and try to help as much as I can.

Generally who decide to put an applicant in comprehensive security screening? Is it IRCC agents decision after they review your profile or is it the CBSA decision to put you under comprehensive SS after IRCC send you profile for security check that everyone has to go through?

Just have patience and orders notes every once in a while mate.

you can either order notes, or call IRCC.
When they finished your ss, there usually would be a Ghost Update in your CIC account. (not an email, just application/profile updated.)
Not every ghost update indicates the end of SS, but ghost update is always regarded as a good sign.
So you can log in the system every day to see if there is any change. (if it is not a big trouble for you.)

Thank you for your complete answer. I did not really know what exactly ghost update means. So, thanks again for this info.
By the way, should I order a note from IRCC or from CSIS? Are there differences and which one shows SS?

ordering notes from IRCC could take a long time nowadays. 100+days probably. and for SS, the information on GCMS notes( IRCC) is completely hidden.

I would suggest ordering notes from CSIS. or CBSA (which takes longer time)
For me, it took me less than 30 days to order CSIS notes.

But you will have to be completely sure that your case is under ss, otherwise, they won't have information for your case.

when SS started did you also had Ghost update or only when its finished
I am on IP1 since Nov- and nothing since then but only the on Ghost update

I don't remember a ghost update when they initiated the security check, it is just a long silence.

But when they finished the SS, I did get a GU. so I assume that GU must be a good sign..

Keep waiting and the good news is probably around the corner.

Hi guys!
After 7 months in SS, I got ADR for partner's CV, Schedule A, Travel history and Info request for students.
I guess they only finished my security check and now they are starting his comprehensive ss
Any opinions?
I sooooo hope that I am wrong, but I am almost sure that this is the deal.

I think I'm in SS too , I received adr for CV+student form last December , now it's 2 months since ADR submitted , both eligibility and criminality passed.
I think I still have many more months to wait

I am from Russia.
Yeah, more than 7 months
Don't give up, maybe you are not on comprehesive security screening. Hope for the best, prepare to the worst.

I received ADR for SechA and PCC- on 30 OCT and the BG changed to IP1 since then( you application in progress)
Eligibility pass , BG not started
I dont know where the file at since notes that was ordered in OCT never received
I only got Ghost update in Jan and agent have no clue why that happened, ? Said the file still the same status
I am guessing with so long in IP1 I might also be in SS...
