GCMS notes

Hi guys,pls help if you understand the following part of the GCMS notes I received today.It says an interview may be required and my file was transferred to LA from CPP-O.It shows a due date of 2013/05/20 .what does this due date mean. my wife had sponsored me on October 16,2012 and her sponsorship was approved on November 7,2012.

How do I order GCMS notes? Do I need a Form IMM 5475?

Also, how is GCMS notes different then CAIPS?

Can I order it on my wife's behalf? I am a PR. My wife's can't order it since she is not a PR yet. Do I need any authorization from her to be included in the order? How do I pay for the service? How long it usually takes to respond?

You can order it on your wife's behalf. there is a fee $5 (if your wife is not in Canada, if she is then no fee)
yes there is a letter if you can check the website... she has to fill a consent form and sign it and you can send atip form along with consent form.

everything you need to do is in the website.. earlier it was to email them but now they have changed the system and you have to do on their website

I will strongly suggest you to order electronic file as paper file can take long time ..
and it take around a month to get the gcms notes from them.
as you fill sent the forms. you will receive a email from them that they have received it.

you can download it from the website and have her sign and fill it out.. then attach while you are filing the other form and ready to send

One more question: On the Consent Form (Form IMM 5744), do my wife need to put my name for both the Spouse as well as the designated individual? Do I need to sign it too as the spouse? OR it's only wife who signs it and leave the spouse information space blank?

I just saw my consent form
Yes
your wife has to fill out spouse's name(yours) and your name as well in the designated individual (as she is giving you the right to get the info on her behalf)
about the signature ..
you and your wife both has to sign
her signature will be in the "your signature"
and your in "spouse signature"

No. GCMS notes are handled with different department..
and holding up your application is nothing to do with GCMS
its just that these notes let you know what is going on with your file.
few people (including me) used to order it a lot.. like every month
I have ordered one even after receiving PPR
