GCMS notes --- wrong CRS point

Hi all,

I have received my notes. I have realized the points that the officer mentioned is not right.

I applied with my foreign work experience first; however, I declined that invitation because I couldn't collect the required documents.

Later, I got a second invitation (without foreign work experience points). I submitted my documents, everything was fine so far. However, on my GCMS notes, the analyst mentioned my previous invitation point and cutoff. Also, it says no work duties. I submitted of course my work letter in Canada.

What should I do? A webform? Or is there any phone number I can call about my GCMS notes?

There is no phone number. You can try to submit a webform, but you need to be absolutely confident that you are correct in your interpretation.

The visa officer will know about your previous profile and ITA, which is perhaps why it's discussed?

I am very confident about it.
My current point is 469 and the cut-off is 467 (round 140).
However, in the note, it says my point is 472 and cut-off 464.

There is an issue about my work duties as well in my notes. I think this is because they are looking for a foreign work experience letter. I am not sure.

My notes: https://postimg.cc/QHzHhvDF

The lock data is visible on the note, 2020-03-24, which is round 140, the cutoff was 467.

What's your e-APR date?

Your lock-in date is your e-APR date, not ITA. It seems like the case analyst is confused and will most likely get corrected by the reviewing (more senior) officer. You can certainly raise a web form but I doubt it's going to do anything. You should be fine as long as the reference letter that you submitted had duties and responsibilities mentioned in it.

Thank you both for your replies.

Before I have realized the point issue, I raised a webform and resent my Canadian work experience letters again.

Hopefully, I won't get a rejection because of all these. I am so sad because I could write an LOE with my application to explain why I declined the first invitation. I didn't guess anything like that could happen.

You are welcome. I have a few questions.

When did you receive your first ITA? You don’t owe an explanation to IRCC for declining invitations. It’s perfectly legal for anyone to decline as many invitations as they see fit. It’s frowned upon by other candidates in the pool but it’s not going to land you in any trouble as the official application process doesn’t start until you submit your e-APR.

Why did you raise a web form and re-send your employment reference letter? Is it like a different version from the one you submitted as a part of your e-APR?

My first ITA was on October 2, 2019. I couldn't collect the employment letters; therefore, I declined that invitation. Then I took CELPIP again and increased my English test score. My second ITA was on March 23, 2020.

According to my GCSM notes, I thought they couldn't find my employment letter somehow. Because in summary, the analyst notes: "Applicant submitted documents on file and do not demonstrate s/he has performed duties consistent with the lead statement and main duties as set out in declared primary noc category for more than one year within qualifying period."

Today I re-send same documents but I included a list as

1. Letter from the manager – Employment letter
2. Letter from HR – showing the start date of the full-time position (I worked in same position as part-time before, it confirms that I am working full-time and start date).
3. Letter from HR – confirming the extension of the contract.

Unless you claimed points for arranged employment, IRCC does not care about the extension of your contract. All they care about is if you had worked full-time (in a skilled occupation) for a minimum of 30 hrs in the 52 weeks preceding (or equivalent part-time hours) your ITA and e-APR. They need your duties and responsibilities in the letter so they can confirm that your position is skilled (NOC A, B, or 0).

Now, the real question is did one of your letters have your main duties and responsibilities?

Yes. The letter from my manager is very detailed including my main duties and responsibilities. That's why I got really confused. I can't understand how they can't see it!

I have been working full-time since September 3, 2018 (still working at the same job/full-time), 35 hours per week.

Okay, so you re-sent all the documents (the same ones you submitted along with your e-APR) because of the analyst's notes, right?

In this case, it looks like the case analyst has made a huge mistake which will be corrected by the reviewing officer. The odds of the rejection is extremely low, but if they refuse your application due to their mistake, you have every right to ask them for reconsideration. You should be good!

Update for anyone would get stressed over the GCMS notes with a similar issue:
I got another GCMS notes today. The recent note says "Text: *Officer Reviewed* Eligibility passed. Integrated search completed - no adverse info found."
I think it means all good for the eligibility part :):):)
