GCMS notes concerns, please help!

Dear All,

I've got two sets of GCMS notes (received last month and this month, respectively) for my application. All seem fine except for an INFO SHARING part with USA.

I've applied for B1/B2 (tourist) visas several times and all were approved. Also no crime history anywhere.

What got me worried in last month's notes:

Apparently there were lots of info coming from US. However, shortly after the notes, I actually got Medical & RPRF req.

Then I decided to order new notes. Eligibility & Selection passed, and INFO SHARING status now changed to: "Complete - No Match". MATCHED RECORDS displays "0".

Any idea what was going on? One logical explanation I can think of is they initially got all my US visa application records and later verified there were no refusals (hence "no match").

When the eligibility is passed and you also got your medical & rprf....it is a positive sign.....I dont think you need to worry so much.....!!!

Second that...

No Match (or 0 matches) is positive indicator.

Thanks guys. Another question is in my notes, there is a "sub-activity" left blank (erased) as well. E.g.,

ACTIVITY : 7

Sub-Activity/Activity Type: [erased]

They cite Privacy Act s.21 for the removal:

The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any personal information requested under subsection 12(1) the disclosure of which could reasonably be expected to be injurious to the conduct of international affairs, the defence of Canada or any state allied or associated with Canada, as defined in subsection 15(2) of the Access to Information Act, or the efforts of Canada toward detecting, preventing or suppressing subversive or hostile activities, as defined in subsection 15(2) of the Access to Information Act, including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, any such information listed in paragraphs 15(1)(a) to (i) of the Access to Information Act.

I guess the erased activity could be related to security screening? But there is another Activity called Security (its values are also erased, btw) under that one. So I'm confused.

You have made the most logical guess - Security items are all erased for everybody's request, as law allows GCMS to not to disclose these! So no worries!!

Dont worry, its a part of security checks, so you are good so far Probably they wanted to do a check with USA on ur records too becos of travel/visa application. The security check usually involves many org's like FBI,Interpol etc. And CIC will mask the values for protecting confidential info.
