AOR Received.

We have not been seeing much movement in our app. We submitted march 29, got aor2 from ottawa on may 24 and were transferred back to Ottawa on july 17.

They searched my name (I am the sponsor) on 2017/08/30 why would they do this?

Here is a screen shot:

They searched my name too and on the date we received AOR2. I am not sure what they search for. Maybe it is a security thing to check databases to determine sponsor eligibility?
I see that it also said that the applicant was searched for on the same date. I wonder if it just means that it's another indication that the file was opened (searched for) at the VO.

Where can you see the applicant was searched for too?

I assumed that the image you posted was from the section that was under Client Details. Correct me if I am wrong. When I checked under the applicant's Client Details, the "Searched date" was exactly the same date and time as mine, the sponsor. This is why I was saying that this category may indicate the date the VO started processing our app by sending out AOR2 (not sure why it would be listed as "Searched for"). I figured they opened the app on May 4, because that was when we got the line added on eCAS "We started processing your application on ..." and then on May 26, that was the date they sent out AOR2. I think the "We processed your application" line and AOR2 are often sent out around the same date for many VO's except for mine. I might be wrong about this, but this is just the observation I made from my own app.

When did they send your app to the VO? Was it at the end of August?

It was sent may 24(or around that time). Also, I check under PA client details. They searched her name as well!

What does "under taking length (months):36" mean?

Most likely the total time the undertaking lasts for. The sponsor is responsible for taking care of the needs of the sponsored, in spousal sponsorship the length of this undertaking is 3 years. Should the sponsored need any financial assistance for his needs, the sponsor has to take care of them.

Yes, I am not sure what it means, but I think it must be something standard that they do.
