Would applying for GCMS notes trigger a ghost update in GCKey? Wondering why we got an update last week but haven’t heard anything since. Have applied for GCMS last month.

Not sure if it's related. Did you hear anything after ghost update or infer anything from GCMS notes ?

I had same experience and as per GCMS notes still in progress.

At best a ghost update (GU) may be created on the day the Gcms Notes are generated; that's the only relationship between Gcms Notes and GU's. Any other GU is unrelated and not triggered by requesting the notes. There are false theories purported by some GCMS providers to create a make believe scenario that requesting Gcms Notes will result in progress of your application.

I too got a GU on Sunday, after applying for GCMS notes on Saturday. So probably GU are triggers if we ordered GCMS. Since nobody must be working on my application on Weekends LOL

I ordered GCMS notes a week ago and got no ghost update on my cic account. So, maybe the GU thing is pretty random

You "applied" for GCMS on Saturday, was it actually submitted to IRCC/CBSA then? Even then processing wouldn't have started on the weekend. Regardless, it's pointless and inconsequential reading too much into GU's generated as a result of GCMS

I recently received a ghost update on a Sunday. When I called IRCC and asked in details, I figured out that nothing had changed compared to the previous time I had checked almost a month prior.
Any idea what a Ghost Update without any actual update mean?
