Yes you can use your banking information to create and login to GCKey but you also need a Personal Access Code. You can use this link to request a Personal Access Code to be sent to your address by mail: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/my-account/gckey.html#request-code
The last time I checked the online option to request a Personal Access Code was not available because of the recent cyber attacks on the government but you can always request a code in person at Service Canada office.
