Hello everyone dere

Just wanted to ask if there is someone who applied for the work permit, after GAS and got 1.5 yrs on work permit?? Coz in my batch most of the students got 3 yrs except a few ended up with 1.5 yrs. I am one of them. I also heard some students approached the Indian Embassy for the same issue. Your feedback will be appreciated..

Thanks

bro i dont know about this thing but m coming in niagara collage for culinary managment coop notl wt do u say?

Bro dnt appeal agnst it, some of the students in other college who did GAS have been told to return back home and their pgwp rejected. Previously everyone was doin GAS after a year course n getting 3 yrs pgwp,by doin just one semester in GAS but tht seem to be stopped by cic nw.

I agree.

You are very lucky you got the PGWP at all. Many are now being refused the PGWP and told to return home because they took GAS.

Be happy you got 1.5 years and leave things alone.

Thanks to this forum who literally stopped me to took this bullshit course in order to save money and time. Yes you are lucky that you got work permit, some friends of mine got deportation letter already as they have done the same course fromNiagara college. I am from same college and already know there were many students who enrolled in GAS

I had a 1 year certificate, then I did a GAS in winter 2014.
luckily I received 3 years work permit. (some students did not receive it).
now I'm on my work permit, I applied for a re-entry visa. the processing time is 16 days (cic). but I had not received anything after more than 40 days.
I'm afraid they are re-processing my PGWP. Does anyone have any idea about it? I'm currently working for a well-known company and settling down little by little. What will happen to me? I'm AFFRAID.
I love Canada. what can I do?

There's nothing you can do but wait. Since you already have an approved PGWP, you are probably safe.

Thanks you scylla for your reply. I'm waiting, I can't do any other thing.

I just compared my work permit with a friend of mine who has a PGWP after getting his masters degree. I noticed that there's a difference. On his WP, is mentioned that this is a Post Graduate W.P , but on mine , it is not mentioned.

what does it mean?
