Gaps in minor kids education history

Hello ,

Going to apply very soon for citizenship .However I do have the following questions .Experts and seniors kindly advise.

We immigrated to Canada as a family in September 2011.Before that we were living in KSA (not our home country).I took my kids school leaving certificate from KSA school in July 2011 ,however we came to Canada in mid Sept. 2011 only .My kids were admitted to a local Public school in Oct. 2011. So for around 2 months they were not enrolled in any school anywhere.While completing Q#6(G) , should I cover this gap of 2 months period by mentioning "waiting for admission " etc or just mention the details of the schools attended by my kids during the last 4 years in KSA & Canada

Since you said "anyone", I'll give my opinion. I wouldn't think it would hurt to write something like "Moving and getting children settled in new home, waiting for admission to XYZ Public School" for that time period. That way, if they DO expect an explanation, you have it covered.

Well, ours is almost similar including "living in KSA" (not our home country). We left Saudi Arabia in June 6, 2011, went to our home country then stayed there for 20 days before we flew to Canada. A little different from yours in the sense that we left Saudi Arabia when the school was off (Philippine Curriculum school calendar) and we arrived in Canada during summer when schools were off too. So I noted down these " school off" periods in these 2 countries in the application.

To answer your question: Yes, I would suggest to mention in your application the time period and the reason of the 2 months when your kids are not in school.
