Hi Everyone,

I am opening this thread to raise my question as I am in a real dilemma to find accurate solution.

I have total of 3 years of work experience which I completed this June. Below is a break down:

Employment 1: Feb. 2016 - Dec. 2016 - NOC 2171 - Paid Full-Time (40 Hours) - Employer A
Employment 2: May 2017 - June 2018 - NOC 2171 - Paid Full-Time (40 Hours) - Employer A
Employment 3: July 2018 - Current - NOC 2174 - Paid Full-Time (40 Hours) - Employer B

I was recently told that I can't claim points for my Employment 1 as it is not continuous 1 year. But I have two other employments which are of continuous 1 year - Employment 2 and Employment 3.

Per Express Entry requirement, I am allowed to claim points for all my employment if worked Full-Time at 1 job for continuous 1 year. Are there any concerns for me not to claim points for Employment 1?

I have created my profile and entered these Work Experience as above and got points for 3 years total. Do I have to remove my Employment 1?

Any help would be appreciable!!

You can certainly claim CRS points for this experience. It will not count towards FSW eligibility points, but you have other experience for that purpose. I assume your primary NOC is 2171. If you enter 2174 as your primary NOC, you will need to wait until July 2019 to claim 1 year continuous experience for FSW eligibility.

Thank you so much for your response.
I actually got my score raised at the start of June 2019 as IRCC counts one year of experience from July 2018 to June 2019 to be a year.
So, previously I had my points for WorkExperience to be 25 and now I have received all 50 points which raised my score to 451.

In the EE profile, they do count it by month. However, after your receive ITA, it is possible that they will count it by the day and you will fall short. It will be better to use 2171, you will be better off.
