Hello! Last May, a friend of mine invited a friend of hers to Canada to study Yoga. She came for 2 weeks, but ended up staying for longer . Her and I became close and she ended up staying in Canada for the whole 6 months. We wrote into the immigration office to extend her visa for the reason of "exploring relationship", but shortly after the visa extension was granted, she had to return home to Russia for work.
She has been looking at other yoga teachings here in canada, and we are considering reapplying for a second TRV to canada, maybe in the new year. She enjoyed her stay here, but also wanted to option to return home to visit family in between yoga workshop offerings. (they are about 1.5 month).
I just had a few questions regarding her chances coming back to Canada.
Does it look good on her record that she returned home to russia, even though her visa was extended (to prove she has ties and will return home)?
Does the Russian office have our papers regarding our previous visa extension application we made in canada, and If i invite her to canada as a friend this second time, does this conflict with our previous relationship as "exploring relationship"? Even though we are just good friends now, will they consider me her Boyfriend?
Are second visas hard to get?
What needs to be proven to gain this multiple entry visa?
She wanted to stay for the length of her visa, but having a single entry was a lot of pressure knowing that if she left, she couldn't come back, and this is hard when your whole family is back home in Russia. Her father got injured, and she wished to go back to help him, but didn't want to miss her workshop... It would have been best to have multiple entry, so she could come for the workshop, then go back home to work, and return back at the date of the next workshop.
Any experiences or other threads you could suggest for me to read would be extremely appreciated! Thank you!
