Hi, I am preparing to start the process for migrating to Canada from India. In connection to that I have a set of questions and I would be really grateful if anyone can help me in answering the following questions:-
-What is the status of the FSW draw?
-Is there any info about when or if it may resume in the near future?
-Is it possible to create an express entry profile now since they are no longer conducting FSW draws? One of my friends tried creating a profile and he was not able to see an option to create the profile.
-And, is it advisable to try for Canadian PR in these circumstances?

1. No draws since 2020. No timeline for when they will re-start.
2. You can create a profile. Good for a year.
3. PR is your decision. Do you have a highly sought after skill? Will you make more in Canada or not? How will your lifestyle change if you move?

The last All Program draw was held on Dec 23 2020. Since then, Canada has only prioritized invites for people staying in Canada.
1) In 2020, FSW draws started in July and we are hoping that it would be the same case this year as well.
2) Profile can still be created and if your eligible, try for PNP nomination as well.
3) There is a huge backlog since FSW invited applications are yet to processed along with the huge PNP/CEC backlogs. This means, even invited, processing is going to take sometime.
So this is going to be your decision, if you wish to apply for a PR or look at other options as well.
