Funds to show

Is it compulsory to show funds? And how can we show our funds for strong financial show

I will be studying at University of Calgary
I have paid 1st semester fee .
Paid GIC .
Have 20 lakh rupees funds in bank statements.
And 13 lakh per year income , i have the ITRs.

Are these funds enough or should i pay full year fees? Will it be a problem if i have paid only 1st semester fees?
