Funds requirement for Canada Super Visa

Hello, I'm planning to apply for my mother's super visa. My concern is the funds in my mother's bank account. Some say she does not need to show funds and some say she needs at least $5000 CAD. I'm really confused and it's very stressful.
She has property on her name and around $2000-$2500 CAD. I know super visa is really different from visitor visa.
Has anybody experienced this before? Please suggest what to do.

Hi i am in the same boat as far i know for super visa they need to see your income, employment( there is a minimum you need to be making in a year ) it does not really matter how much she has. If she is applying for just a visitor visa then she has to show ties like property to make sure she will return back. Hope that helps.

What if you have a loan in Canada for example for buying a house. Does that affect your eligibility to sponsor?

I don't think so. They are not going to check your loans or mortgages. They'll only see your notice of assessments to check if you meet minimum income requirement, and your bank balance.

Both need to show they have funds available. The sponsor needs to show that they meet the income requirements. The applicant needs to show they have funds as well to demonstrate they have money to pay for the trip and to also show they have ties to their home country. One reason why super visas are sometimes refused is due to the applicant not demonstrating funds or not having sufficient funds.
