Hello Members

I have applied for PR under CEC.

Does anybody have idea on how much funds is required when we enter Canada for the first time after getting the PR for a family of 3?

Any inputs will be appreciated.

Regards.

dont' understand why people just pull figures out of their ass, without any reference to any CIC webpage. there is no funds requirement to land under CEC. if you have a job at the time of landing, get a letter from your employer. if you don't, print out bank statements showing whatever you have.

i'd love to hear about a case of a CEC candidate who was rejected at the time of landing because he/she didn't have sufficient funds.

until then, stop confusing people with misinformation.

Yeah, that very specific $13,000 number sounds fishy.

I have not heard of proof of funds being necessary for landing until now. Several people have posted their landing stories in detail but none of them that I've read mentioned any proof of funds requirement.

As far as I'm aware a letter of employment would be sufficient for landing for the CEC class, though if you do not have one then a proof of funds would be better.

What if we are Coming to Canada to look out for work and if we don't have a arranged employment?
In that case don't you thing we need funds to be shown while landing in Canada?
