Hi everyone ,

In the second stage, the full documents submision - they ask for originals documents? how can this be possible - Original documents are the life time -assets what they get lost? who will be responsible for it ? any idea what is the alternative ??????????

I believe seniors would be able to help you out on this but atleast i have nt come across any lost scenerios as yet but ur right on ur concern......

Hi Guys

Visa office will be responsible once they get the docs, wut if docs get lost in between sending and receiveing by courier service ? courier sevice will just say sorry we lost it for example by any natural disaster or some thing like movie "Cast Away" ::)
 
Make sure that it is a well known courier company. FEDEX/UPS or something like that that have a tracking number...Dont worry, they wont get lost :) :)

ALSO CANADIAN VISA OFFICIAL MUST BE VERY SENSIBLE PEOPLE -I M 99% SURE THIS "POINT" MUST BE ANTICIPATED.

Dear Driven,

Send all your academic documents photocopy and get them notorised, but send ur job letters, reference letters and IELTS in original,

And, get those originals photocopied for your future use as well...

But the question still remains: what if my job/letters and reference get lost? as we all know we apply for job many times in our career and every employer to be asks for originals?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I have sent all my documents only in certified and translated copies.
The office in Berlin asked me after that just to send them the original police certificates.
 
Dear Driven,

If your original employment related documents get lost, you can still get most of them again instantly because comapanies generally wont mind in printing everything again. Secondly, there is no "DUPLICATE" stamp on employment letters. The risk is minimum and even if anything happens, the loss will also be minimum.

Only IELTS/TEF and Police certificate need to be original.
The rest of the docs can be notarized copies.

No, each office's specific instructions are different, don't generalize, you have read the visa office specific instructions in Appendix A to determine which documents are copies and which are original. For example original marksheets/transcripts in university sealed envelopes are required.
