what does it mean?

Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Your documents have been received and placed on file. No further action is required by you at this time.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Yours sincerely,

we are in same boat :(

the SOP at their end is that with the AOR they have provisonally accepted your application based on paper review of file....pending review as per QORAX means that probably background checks will commence (dont know when)....

Dear Murtaza
i also sent request to vo for 2nd AOR(docts rcv by vo on 17-01-2011) but they informed me that my file number which i received in 1st AOR by CIO, will be used throughout the processing in london VO. My status is RBVO since March 2011.
what about you have same number or new number?

i hope my post will make people feel better about the situation

i submitted full docs in october to vo vienna and received my meds requests late in may, i also know several other people at the same vo who submitted the initial application in march and april 2010 (they submitted full docs at different times and two others in addition to myself were also requested to send additional docs after submitting full docs) who also received meds requests at about the same time i did...

so i think that processing is continuing and they are certainly not putting everyone who has applied before june 2010 on hold while they process post-june applicants only...don't lose hope, different vos have different case loads, obviously, which does clearly affect processing times etc, but pre-june 2010 applicants are getting processed and it's not taking years and years...

wishing everyone all the best :)
