Depends on the visa office and how you submit docs.

For example, mine (Caracas) allows to submit docs in person at the embassy, so I did (since I work 3 blocks away from the embassy) and in turn they gave me my 2nd AOR on the spot.

Others I know sent their documents through courier in June and haven't received their AOR. So it pretty much depends.

Hey sukh420

I got my new file number at the spot in the embassy, and I checked ecas and it said "We started processing your application on August 20, 2010" so my "In process" should actually be 20th August!
