Good day to all,

I and my spouse are going to renew our passports from green to e-passport.

Is it acceptable if my wife will still use her maiden name or it is mandatory for her to use my surname once she renewed her passport?
We are worried that changing her surname might create conflict on her legal documents here in Saudi Arabia and might also affect our PR application because all documents in the application are in her maiden name.

Any advicefrom members please.

When I Renewed my passport last Feb of 2011 in Ottawa, I used my maiden name to avoid complications with Canadian Immigration coz all my documents were under my maiden name like my contract, work permit, LMO and Visa. my husband applied last 2010 and we were advised to keep my maiden name as long as we have our Marriage Contract from NSO as a proof that we are Legally married....

buti pa ang PNP..moving ang papers...sana pati mga pre-june 2010 for FSW mag issue na din sila ng medicals..

naku..sana ...sana ..sana nga nasa post office na ung mga MR din namin...

patience talaga ang kailangan dito jandox....medyo nag expect yata kc tayong pre-june for faster processing din ng applications nating magkaka batch tapos biglang nag slow down kaya medyo nakaka disappoint for a while..

pero, it's a brand new hope for "us"...thank you...buena mano ka ata for that MR jandox...

Nawalan nga ako ng pag-asa talaga dati. Kaya nag-apply apply ako sa barko. hehe! Ayun, nalibang ako sa pag-apply nang biglang dumating yung MR ko. hehe!

Huwag kayo mawalan ng pag-asa. Dadating din ang mga MR na iniintay.

Kaya ako nag post agad nung matanggap ko MR ko para mabuhayan ang mga nasa thread na to. hehe!
