Hi everybody, please help me understand CAIPS and follow up with CEM? pano po ito? kc pinaprocess ko lahat sa consultant yung application namin, tapos he asked me if I wanted to ask for notes regarding my application and was charging me quite a large amount of money. from reading from reading from recent posts here it looks like it is something I can do myself, tama po ba? where can I get more info about this process/request? will it speed up the process? why would we want to get notes? please enlighten me as I can see everybody on this forum is an expert on this. by the way I am also a batchmate ndi lang mashadong active dito sa mga threads, I submitted docs to manila visa office Nov 2010 2nd AOR received 12/28/10 and RBVO status in Ecas. I applied under FSW3, ndi ko nga alam kung mey kapareho ako kc parang halos lahat dito skilled, ako ang basehan lang nman ay 1 year of legal work in canada, 3 years experience in NOC0 in the last 10 yrs (pero ndi presently) at passed 67 points- nagpost na ako before ng inquiry kung mey nagapply din ba under the same category dito sa thread nato pero wla ata nagreply kaya isip ko baka wala..hehe..anyway kung meron man, I would really love if you could share your experience with me and timelines so far just so I can be assured na ok lang ako...hehe
anyway to everybody, I feel the same thing as everybody here, ako I left my daughter in the Phils when she was 2, grabe 4 na sha ngayon at miss na miss ko na sha pero ndi ko parin alam kelan ko sha makasama. magexpire na WP ko this April, ngayon palang ako nagproprocess ng extension for WP para maimplied status ako even before magexpire ung WP ko at makapagtrabaho ako legally, kung naayos na sana di sana makakauwi na ako masusundo ko na sha...parang kc ndi ko na kayang bumalik or iwan pa sha pag nakasama ko na sha ulit eh. kung kayo ba ako ano ang maiadvice nyo especially ngayon na ndi natin matantsa ang timeline..hay. anyway, sabi nga this could be a test of faith, we all have to keep holding on to His promise, this is His plan for us, let us always remember that He wouldnt let us go this far if this was not what He has planned for us. so lets all keep the faith and continue trusting and praying. WE should live by the truth that GOD IS GOOD..not only when good things happen...BUT ALL THE TIME!!!
hi BILBISBIHBIA,
thanks sa mga inspirational words... yeah, its somewhat a test of faith... palage ko nga sinasabe everything happens for a reason. anu man reason for now kung bakit nagslow down ang process, i am hoping for the best.
i believe that i did inform you about my friend's situation a couple of weeks ago... he is also under FSW3 with a 1 yr work experience @ tim hortons, his full docs were submitted in Buffalo. he chose to wait in the Phils... accdg to mercan, his agency that he always have a choice to go home and wait instead of continuing his work in alberta...he misses his wifey terribly, as in..., it might not be the smartest decision he did but family always comes first and i understand where he is coming from coz i'm gonna to do the same thing. few more weeks and i'll be coming back to manila...manila coming home...
REGARDING CAIPS...
nagrequest ako last March 4 or 5 2011 ng CAIPS dito sa Ottawa... $5 ang charge by cheque, money order kapag ikaw mismo ang gagawa kung legal worker tyo sa Canada or if you have a relative, you just have to fill out an authorization form. i'm not the principal applicant, si hubby... CAIPS won't speed up the process of our application. codes lang yon kung anu ng nangyayari sa ating papers. so that we will know where we stand. from prev threads that i've read here and p2c normally nagrerequest ang isang applicant after ng MR but excited lang ako masyado, to be honest medyo may complicated part lang kasi i just wanna check if meron silang hihingin na addtl docs for us just in case...
Follow the instructions below:
1. Have your spouse fill out this form if you're not the principal applicant.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf
Step by step instructions:
Tick the box that says "I authorize Citizenship and Immigration Canada... ... to release information from my case file to the following individual."
Then have your spouse fill out all of his/her particulars (his/her name, DOB, location of VISA Processing centre, i.e. The Canadian Embassy......... etc.)
Then have him/her fill out your own personal information under the headings titled "Designated Individual."
Have your spouse sign AND date the form at the bottom
OR, if you have already filled out this form:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5476E.PDF
then just send a photocopy of it along with 2. and 3.
2. You must now fill out this form:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563B.pdf
Step by step instructions:
Leave the first two boxes at the top blank (Requesters Reference No. and Public Rights Administration file number).
Tick the box that says "Access to Information Act ($ 5.00 fee)."
You HAVE to pay $5.00, there is no way around this. Do NOT tick "Privacy Act" and hope they will just process it without you having to pay; this will NOT work. You must pay $5.00 since you are requesting the info on behalf of your spouse, and your spouse is not residing in Canada.
Select which language you wish to receive your notes in, English or French. (These choices are under the "Privacy Act" sub-heading. Then tick the box which says "Receive copies of the Records." .
Fill out your spouse's information.
Under the next heading, "Request for-Required Information" box, tick the "CAIPS (information abroad)" box and write "The Canadian Embassy ........." under the "Embassy" sub-heading, and write the "Visa File No." in the appropriate box.
DO NOT check any other boxes in this section. Especially the "OVERSEAS VISA FILE" box. If you do this, they will pull your file aside, photocopy everything and send it to you.
It will not only take you forever to get the information, but they will also take your file out of the queue to process your request and therefore it will take LONGER !!! (CAIPS is just a computer printout of all the work done on your file so far. It will not affect the speed at which your visa office)
In the next heading, tick the box which says "This request is being made by a Canadian Citizen..." Fill out all of your information in this box, name, phone number, address, etc.
Sign and date.
3. Make out a cheque payable to the "Receiver General of Canada" for $5.00
Enclose the cheque in an envelope with the other forms, and a copy of your Canadian ID or a passport copy and send it to the address below:
