Happy New Year guys!

Hello Everybody! Happy New Year! Im new in this forum and I have constantly been reading the thread and thought I'd join. I am in Canada under a work permit, I submitted complete docs and was received by Manila VO 11/15/10 - I have received an acknowledgement of receipt (2nd AOR) 12/28/10- (answered prayer!) and it mentioned a timeline of 6 to 12 months processing. From reading the thread it looks like most of the applicants are expecting a response within 3 months, so I am just wondering if this is just because I applied under FSW Category 3? or did everybody get the same timeline as 6-12 months? I am just worried as my work permit will expire by April 2011 and if that is the case looks like I am cutting it too short. any advice? I did not have my employer process another LMO/WP for me as I was expecting my application to be approved some time Apr-July 2011. If I leave the country before getting approval will this affect my application? If I would no longer be employed by a Canadian employer will this also affect my application? or is there an option where as long as an application is being processed, one could exit and re-enter the country? I am really sorry if I am asking too much, I would really appreciate getting thoughts from people I share the same journey with, so feel free to share your thoughts and the options you might know of to help me get thru this dilemma. thanks everybody! appreciate it!

hi bilbisbihbia,
welcome!
i haven't got much idea about fsw3, but considering that fsw category is a fast-track processing, u should be able to get progress before ur visa ends, and maybe u'll have ur immigrant visa by then..
however, if there are any changes to ur application such as correspondence details, u are definitely advised to inform them..

maybe u could try to create another thread so u will get more definite answers from seniors. ;D ;D ;D ;D

All the best! ;) ;)

Hey guys, I hope somebody could shed light on this. I was checking my SSS contributions online. Seems to be updated and its quite a big amount. Any thoughts if ever we could get the lump sum since we'll be migrating soon?

on the contrary my 2nd AOR states that i need to wait 6months for the next step from the via office and not 3 months or 90 days.. as to your other dilemma, i cant answer you im sorry

PFcastelo- ano kaya kung dagdagan natin ng extrang column na waiting period???

when u applied for sss, u had declared names of beneficiaries..whatever happens, they will get something.. u can certainly get pension from sss but not too sure about lumpsum as early as now. i think it is best that u inquire personally with the nearest sss office in ur area..i am also interested about their response on this, as i am also a member..

As requested by michael... ;D

Is seems that our group time line is divided in to two. The once who received their 2nd AOR quickly got a 90 days/3 months waiting period while the rest of us who waited for more than 2 weeks for the 2nd AOR got 6 months. Kindly correct me if i'm mistaken. Also, there is the issue of the new and old file number.
