Hello guys,

What's happening to this forum? Lets keep it alive. What is NDVO doing with our application? Any UPDATES? Please keep on posting your updates.

Regards,

It is hard to understand whats going on with NDVO with respect to MI1 applications. Please share your thoughts.

Some people who got into In Process in Jan 2012 are still waiting for medical. Their CAIPS/GCMS seem to indicate files are at ECU division. No clarity on what ECU does - just send the medicals or do more investigations. May be these people will receive Medicals in May.

There are rejections, or job verification calls happening for MI-1 applications that are in process. This is a good sign but no applications are moving from RBVO to in process in last few weeks.

As per the data there are about 31000+ people in pre Feb 2008 category at NDVO. Maybe NDVO is busy in closing those applications?

Hey Srid, would you know how many people do we have in the FSW1 from NDVO?

Around 7200 applications of MI-1, 2000 MI-2, and around 800 MI-3.
It seems NDVO FSW1 quota for this year is around 8000.

My ecas status is still AR but my file is at MPR division.....don't know...what MPR is?

As per latest news on cic website, i guess they may be creating a pool so as to cherrypick some of the applicants

My caips/gcms report says

MPR seems name of the Immigration Officer.

Am not able to understand what you asking.
I have given details of my caips report on the spreadsheet for Pre Junes thread and you have already commented on it.

Please comment on the second last paragraph which say RETROSPECTIVELY.

Today, Minister Kenney announced two additional changes that will help transform Canada’s immigration system. One proposed change would help CIC ensure FSW applicants meet current labour market needs. It would allow new rules set out in Ministerial Instructions to apply to people who have already submitted an application. For example, instructions could place a priority on a specific occupation, such as doctors, and have existing applications from doctors processed first, regardless of where they are in the queue.

A similar change would allow new regulations, once approved, to apply retrospectively to people who have already submitted an application. These changes would help ensure that immigrants are chosen based on Canada’s current needs and priorities.

I can find two things from those two paragraphs;

a) unlike their recent system, they might give priority to those applicants who have applied in MI-1 then to MI-3, for example, if they need doctors they will see to the same applicants first to MI-1 then to MI-3.

b) I mean if they mean to issue visa based on recent job demand list, what does that 29 NOC list which they already declared as on demand list. I mean out of that 29, how can still they be choosy for further priority, unless they mean to reduce the NOC from this July. In other words, if they set NOC list from july, that should mean all of them NOCs are in demand and should be treated equally. Also I feel they might remove CAP system.

I dont know I am just guessing

God Bless,
Kavya

I guess Nicky Royal had already hinted about changes.

See this,

Hi robin,
what is your status ?

mine is RBVO. :'(

My status is also the same RBVO and documents are pending review.

They might come out with new NOC list on July 1st and there will be a single queue for each NOC with MI-1 applications in the front.
If your NOC is not on the list, your application may not even get processed. This can be good news for some (if your NOC is in the new list).

For example if NDVO has 10K applications (MI1 - MI3) now, and their quota is 8K, these 8k visas will be given to approved NOCs in MI - MI3 and MI4. After processing the approved NOC applications, they might look at other applications.

If my NOC is not required, or not in the list, I have very less hope of getting the visa.

All - Please share your opinion.
