@ Malwa: Don't make things complicated.. let your FD's be as it is till you receive Visa stamped...

As such visa officers are piled on with heavy backlog to clear files.. and your amendments will make further delays... Don't make visa officers annoyed with your file...

Many Thanks Atul.
I really appreciate your advice.

Mine too, my status was "In process", and when I checked recently it changed to " Application received by visa office". And ehn I see the details, I see a comment " Medicals are Recevied" but I have not sent any medicals yet.

:o not sure what it means.....please help me know who else has such problems...........

Hi Swaru,

Its O.K., the ecas acts weird sometimes, even in my case it is the second time it mentions that 'Medicals Received', it was mentioned first than it was removed, now it appears again.

Its o.k. It seems to be a mass updating error and would be corrected soon.

Regards,

SS

This could just be an error, try your full name, in place of surname. Lately they have been making numerous updates, so give it some time. Toenjoy is correct, you can send case specific inquiries if needed. My advice is to wait for a few more days before sending a correspondence. Keep the inquiries to a minimum. Since you have a consultant, the VO may require you to send it through them...

Hi All,

I sent the following enquiry to VO-ND on feb 21st as i never rcvd any 2nd file no.and recieved the below response today from them:

Name of Requester: CrazyLeo
Relationship to Applicant: Applicant
Email Address: ******@gmail.com
Consultant CSIC No.:

Request: Dear Sir / Madam, I have sent my complete documents to Visa Office New Delhi on October 15th 2010 and as per courier tracking details, VO received the documents on Oct 16th 2010. I have not received any acknowledgement of my documents till date. On January 25th 2011 while checking my application status online, found a new update saying "In Process" (attached the snapshot for reference) and from last few days when I am trying to check my status online with the same details as earlier, it says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided". I am little confused and worried, please help me understanding my application status. Thanks for your time in advance. Regards

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Your application as a Federal Skilled Worker, which was initially submitted to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The CIO recommended your application for further assessment at a visa office and sent you a letter requesting that you submit a complete application package to this office. We have now received your submission.

Our office has created a file for you with the file number: E********. Please note that this file number is different than the one that was assigned to you by the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. You must quote this file number in any future correspondence with our office.

Before your application can be placed in processing, our office will make a final determination as to whether or not you are eligible for processing. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the determination as well as a refund.

If your application is determined to be eligible for processing, processing will begin on a priority basis.Applications in the Federal Skilled Worker category require an average of 8 months to process at this office.

Once your application has been assessed, you will receive further instructions from this office. Please do not contact this office to request a status update unless 8 months have passed since you submitted your complete application.

Interview
If an interview is required, you will be notified of the appointment for your interview, if required, approximately 2 months prior to the date of the interview, and you will be provided with further instructions at that time.

Non-resident applications
If you or any of your accompanying family members are not normally resident in the area of responsibility of this office, then you should be aware that there may be additional delay in the processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada. This delay will result from the need to refer your case to the Canadian Immigration office which is responsible for the country in which you or your family members normally reside. This referral is necessary to verify any information that you have provided with your application, or for advice concerning qualifications or other matters of a local concern that should be taken into account when assessing your application.

Let us know
If there is a change in your personal circumstances, such as the birth of a child, a marriage or divorce, you have to let us know (see address, fax number and email address below).
You must also inform us of a:
• Change of address, including change of e-mail address;
• Change of immigration representative;
• Request for withdrawal of your application.

Now i am able to access my online statuts with the new file no. E*******
Current status:

CrazyLeo - Application received when clicked on Application received its says “We received your application for permanent residence on April 12, 2010.”

Can someone please help me understanding my current status and average time it could take from now to complete the process. Pretty confused as to from when this 8 months would start.

Hi Crazyleo,

8 month count starts from the month you received your 2nd AOR ie. Acknowledge receipt from CHC where your file no changes from "BXXXXXXXX" to "Exxxxxxxx".
So we have a very long wait.
Probably we will receive our medical request in Apr/May.

There is no proper communication from any VO regarding on going situtation... just fallow the time lines from this forum..... In a way after 2nd AOR it is 8 months......

Why do we all speak about the 8 or 11 months for finalization....lets worry about the eligibility...review etc befre that !

Nw, CHC website says it takes 10 months for finalization, this includes issue of Visa

the good part is , they take 2 months to complete the initial review...

like me, those who sent full documents in Oct (and those who sent in Nov), are probably past the initial review and are awaiting processing, which is a very good thing. You are eligible. So if the documents, experience, funds are genuine and no criminal records, you will surely get (subject to medical) !

Now, there is no anxiety....patience only....

When is the start date of these 8 or 10 moth period? 2nd AOR date printed on letter or when our final docs were recd by VO?
Thanks

seems like full doc. sent in September will be getting medical request very soon.
good luck to u all.

following is the post from full doc. sent in sep. thread.
