I have a query friends. My present residential address is different from the address mentioned in the Passport. If I apply for a PCC from Reginal passport office/Passport Seva Kendra:

1. How much time will be taken by Passport office to issue PCC?
2. Is a physical verification of the present residential address conducted by the Passport office?

Hello,
1. You need to register online and download application form.
2. You need to prepare a list of docs including a challan of INR 500 to be paid on one of the national bank said. here is the list of docs link: http://apps.appolice.gov.in/pcc/documentsrequired.aspx#__pccApplyingFromIndia
3. Once you submit the same, a police officer will come to your present address and verify your presence and he would take 2 signatures from your neighbors as witness and he will update to the office
4. After which you will get a call within 2 days to collect you PCC.
The whole process took about 5 days for me. Trust this info. helps.

FYI - if this would be of any help, I did not change the present address in the passport. I got my PCCs(yes 2 PCCs) for both the addresses, one for the permanent address in my passport and the other temporary address I am residing presently. Note the permanent and temporary address are in 2 different states.

By the grace of my mom and almighty , I have received my passports back with visa stickers. It's been a long journey on this forum and I am glad to be a part of the forum family , where people without knowing each other take out time , help and advice fellow forum members. We have shared our frustration as well as joy on this forum. There are people like Parhar ji , Qorax , who inspite of already in canada and busy with there lives still manages to take out time for this forum. Thanks everybody on this forum and I wish everybody who are waiting for MR or DM best of luck for the process. May everybody reaches there dream destination as earliest as possible!

My visa got validity till June 2014 and I am planning to land in middle of June.

Congratulations ! You have good time to plan ahead. Ideally, Aug and Sep are the times when the job market 'opens' up with a lot of people going back to college/Uni !
