Hello friends as we all are struggling with wait times, i ve mailed to NEW DELHI office regarding our MI-1 cases below is that mail

I am a FSW applicant under MI-1. As i am aware that CIC had received PR applications more than it could process .So CIC has put that MI-1 applications on hold for certain period and conveyed to applicants that it will take 2 or more years to be finalized. i ve sent my full documents to your office in july 2010 followed by CIO approval . I just want know that after recent changes and visa targets announced by honorable minster ,whether your office will process some MI-1 cases under this new 2012 targets? Please understand i don't want a diplomatic ensurence its ok if your office will not going process them because its good for me to be in light rather than in dark hope cos we are professionals we have to plan our career and future, like my marriage and my job transfer is on hold (in hope of PR)

So i request you to please tell me truth whether our cases have stakes in 2012 visa targets or not so that we can plan our life according

I hope you ve understood our situation and will not give me a that typical reply of 2 years or more time

SECONDLY IF YOU SEE CANADIAN PARLIAMENT WEBSITE ,STANDING COMMITTEE OF IMMIGRATION HAD HOLD MANY MEETING ON BACKLOG AND NEXT IS ON 13TH DECEMBER .ALL WE NEED TO LOBBY IN THAT COMMITTEE BY MAILING OPPOSITION MEMBERS LIKE DON DAVIS and JUSTIFY THEM THAT CONSERVATIVE GOVT IS CLAIMING FALSE CLAIM OF REFORMING IMMIGRATION SYSTEM COS THEY MADE PROMISE IN 2008,2009 BUT NEVER FULFILLED THEM ,WHY mi-1 IS NOT BEING PROCESSED IN ORDER IT WAS RECEIVED ?? IF THEY SAY THAT MI-1 WILL ADDRESS LABOR MARKET NEED AS COMPARED TO mi-2,3 THAT MEANS PRE-2008 BACKLOG WHICH THEY ARE PLANING TO CLEAR WILL ALSO NOT ADDRESS CANADIAN LABOR NEEDS THEN WHY THERE IS DISCRIMINATION WITH MI-1 ON THE NAME OF LABOR MARKET NEEDS???.....................................I REQUEST ALL OF YOU TO PRESENT OUR VERY GENUINE CASE IN FRONT OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS BY SEND WELL DRAFTED EMAILS TO THEM

I just happened to notice a thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/full-docs-to-chc-nd-in-july-2010-t90630.0.html. He is a March 2010 applicant and has received a reply similar to your's stating that his application will not be processed in 2012.
If the email from the VO is to be trusted, then only few handful will be lucky in 2012 and the majority will have to wait for 2013. Few weeks back I had received an email where they did not mention that they will not process in 2012. I guess now they are sending this generic response to every candidate irrespective of weather he/she is a March/April or May/June candidate. I think we may stand a chance of receiving MR in 2012 in that case, particularly with this address appearing/disappearing phenomenon.
Again, I don't want to build false hope but just wait and watch.

There is fix quota of visas for newdelhi visa office every year.minimum7500-10000 approx.And if one look at the total number of applications then there are 3 streams waiting for visas.first MI-1 which are 7500 total .second MI-2 only 35% of total candidtaes recieved visas and remaining waiting for stamping.Third MI-3 where they already started giving medicals by emails.
So newdelhi visa office is taking into considerations all the three MI's and giving equal weightage to all 3 streams.Each category will get around 3000 visas approximately in 2012 .From prejune :: from jan2010 upto mid april 2010 there might be around 3500 applicants so they will go inprocess first and then our may& june applicants turn will come by2013.
Different visa offices having different inventory thats why some visa office issuuing medicals for may-june 2010 applicants too like ankara ,manila etc.
This is just my calculations but anything can be changed at any time if new rules will come.

Yes, I was quoting your email and trying to say that it might be a generic response.
We are trying to analyse and understand that if only May/June candidates will have their application processed in 2013. As per the analysis of some of the fellow members, the March/April candidates might have their file processed in 2012 while we the May/June candidates have to wait till 2013. This is all hypothesis. Nobody knows for sure what the NDVO is upto. But you being a March candidate, with 2nd AOR in July, and having received that kind of email, does not seem to justify our hypothesis. . Hence the discussion. Nothing conclusive though.

Although my first set of docs was sent in March and my 2nd/complete set of docs in July and got the AOR in July 2010, will I not fall under the list of FSW1 July month candidates rather than March, and hence I should be tracking other applicants who sent their complete docs in July/August to see if they got MR, because they look at the complete set of docs.

By the way will ordering CAIPS help, or is just waste of money?

The only reason they are sending these kind of emails that they don't want to get flood with email queries.

The facts we need to look at is NDVO is still one of the fastest visa office although 16 months of processing for pre June is not a realistic figure. If they wnt process any Pre June application in 2012 that means there processing time will almost double on the CIC site. The annual visa quota for NDVO is amongst the highest.

Thanks for the kind words SandySurrey, there is also a talk on the forum that all candidates who sent their 2nd/complete set of docs in the 1st 6 months of 2010 and got their AOR in before June 2010 will get their application processed in 2012 and the rest who submitted the complete set of docs in the 2nd half starting from July and got their AOR in 2nd half of 2010 will have their cases processed in 2013. How far do you think this talk/rumour is true

Rumours is always rumours .

We need to understand that the CIC has high pressure as well to finish the backlOg as soon as possible they have given them self time of 2 years to finish the backlog , CIC must have done some sort of calculations before coming to conclusion that they will finish the back log (Pre June) in 2 years time .

For some of us it might take 3 years as well but we need to consider this fact that pre June MI 1 back lOg has been created by the minister itself so there is a huge pressure on him to finish the backlOg.

That's one of the reason that they limited the intake of applications.
