Different people have different views ,as per me it's a technical glitch as alot of people have there address disappeared on last Saturday , I cant think that visa office opened up so many files in Same day .

My data is based on data from this forum.. I think we are seeing some action for pre-june applicants who have submitted full documents in March 2010. I don't know when will our turn comes. May be this year if we are lucky.

In the NDVO passport tracking thread (on this forum), if you see last 10 visa's received, 3 of them are pre-june 2010, and one of them is 0213.

My address had disappeared over the weekend and I expected a response for the Status Inquiry I had sent, and "bang", today I got the reply (forwarded by my consultant). The standard reply about 2 yrs of processing and rest assured I am still in the queue at the right position and option to withdraw my application. They have clearly mentioned they are not ready to review my application now. One more thing interesting is
"When we are ready to review your file, we will send a document request letter to you using the contact information we have on your file. That letter will list all documents required to continue processing your application."

Looks like they will surely ask for additional documents in the future.

I hope we all are wrong, I am also 0213 i submitted my complete docs on 9th Nov 2010, my address is appearing and disappearing every 10-15 days for the past two months and has happened 4 times, but the status remains the same.

I wonder why it is not happening with me when my 2nd AoR date is Nov 2010. My E-CAS always remains "Application Received" with a single line inside "We received you application for Permanent Residence on 03 May 2010"

I have started thinking if they will ever process my application or simply say "NO" after 15 -20 months. :-\

We are all in it together, dont' get disheartened. We all are waiting waiting and waiting from almost 16 months without reaching to even signs of conclusion, when we applied we had the timelines of 9-11 months from start to finish.

But lets all hope for the best.

I submitted my full documents in Oct 2010 and received 2nd AOR on 21 Nov but no change in Ecas status till now. Its been same since last 9 months RBVO except appearance and disappearance of address .

Hello friends as we pre june applicants struggling with delay . i ve come across a eminent canadian lawyers who sued CIC in 2003 n got a positive decision against wrong policies of CIC ......n now seeing injustice with pre june + pre 2008 applicants he is preparing to sue CIC again for its queue jumping policies n delays ...i had exchanged some emails with him n discussed the matter ,in nutshel he had sent me a Analysis + class action proposal . i told him i will put the same infront all of u my fellow applicants. same thing here sunny...same message with different date.......till from my 2nd AOR issued by embassy ......nothing changed there...but address disappeared once....

Seen may people pasting replies received from VOs / CIC confirming time period of 2 years or more, I am clear on this 2 years & want all to be clear. The reply was received from VO & when they say "this office" it is local VO only, although all may not have paid fees to VO since single applicants have submitted fee to CIO but dependents & other fees along with docs are submitted at respective VO but I am sure it is a generalised reply applicable to all.

Now breaking their statement "2 years or more" if Docs/fees are submitted in current month last year i.e. Sept 2010 to local VO then minimum time period is September 2012 but when it comes to "or more" then it is infinite.

Just read it again...2 years or more... so u can't even claim for 2 year... it may be 3 years 4 years 5 years or... it may not come till u become medically unfit. They are not closing it by saying will take 2 years but they are keeping it open for themselves so no one claims...

Just playing with our futures.... I am getting frustrated when i think about the fact that MY FUTURE depends upon few decision makers who may not have been in the system if Govt. had changed.

As they are replying that we may withdraw our applications & we are eligible for refund, I wish if collectively all people in backlogs withdraw their applications not only MI-1 but also those who are waiting since 2004, They will certainlly realise how grave is the situation for people waiting with infinite timelines. If should be "MASS WITHDRAWL"

This will simply throw them out of "business", yes this is business they are doing thinking about their profit all the time & in all the ways.

Imagine a person applied in 2005 waiting for his turn in 2010 & then realises that his application processing will get delayed. He finally applies in Fast Track under MI-1 & get stuck again. Re-applies in MI-2 & finally all is in backlog. Since now we have MI-3 on top priority.... How frustrating.

Certainly we need to come out with something legal against CIC claiming money stuck, time wasted & stagnation of our future....
