Hello Friends, I have been following this website for quite some time especially this thread << FULL DOCS TO CHC NEW DELHI OCT-NOV-DEC 2010 >> since i sent my full docs in October 2010 & received acknowledgement from NDVO in November 2010. I more often read that E-CAS status of people change, address disappears & re-appears & things like that but this had never happened to my E-CAS status.

I had been checking it at ( services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas ) but my E-CAS status never changed. Even when this website was having Date Modified: 2010-05-08 & even now when Date Modified: 2011-07-11.

It is always "Application Received" & inside is the address of my Consultant Company which never disappears. Please share the URL if different from above where so much activity happens.

Although my application was having response time of 3 months from NDVO but when I asked my consultant company to send reminder, the reply I got on 05-April-2011 for my application was

" We have received the requested information / documents and your application is currently awaiting review by a visa officer.

At this point there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

After this me & my consultant agreed that we shall not send any further reminders but my status on E-CAS still remains the same as "AR"

I dont think you need to send the FD details. If they ask for it in the future you need to show sufficient funds. ND VO cannot go and check bank accounts.

I totally agree, when they again ask for the POF, that time you can give the latest bank statements.

Dear Friends,
http://www.workpermit.com/news/2011-07-15/canada/canada-consultation-on-immigration.htm

Canadian immigration minister Jason Kenney will be consulting with various stakeholders on the appropriate levels of immigration to Canada. Canada currently has one of the highest per capita immigration rates in the world.

Latest news
11 July 2011 Canada skilled migration applications - Only 500 visas per occupation
11 July 2011 Ottawa Canada launches skilled immigration strategy
20 June 2011 Canada to increase validity of Indian visit visas to ten years
"We want people's views on what is the right mix of our various immigration programs, how do we ensure that immigrants succeed economically, because when immigrants get good jobs, Canada succeeds," Kenney said.

There will be consultations with immigrant settlement organizations, Canadian employers, industry organizations, and community associations.

There will be discussions on which immigration schemes to focus on, how skilled migrants should be selected to fill labor gaps, and how to reduce immigration applications backlogs.

Kenney's consultations with stakeholders began in Calgary and will continue across Canada; Cities to be included in the consultation are Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. There will also be Online consultations.

The Canadian government will take into account the responses to the consultation when considering future immigration policy.

Each year, Canada welcomes approximately a quarter of a million new immigrants to its shores from all over the world.

"There's always a maximum to the number of immigrants we bring. We're maintaining very high levels, but we want to make sure that immigration is actually working for newcomers and newcomers are working in Canada," Kenney said. He added that increasing the number of immigrants allowed into Canada may be a possibility.

"We don't want to be bringing people here to face unemployment or under-employment, we want them to fill the job shortages that exist, particularly in this region.

Dear Lakhavinder, Couldnt get what exectly the figure indicates and where we stands out there?

Lakhwinder,
I appreciate yr research work on data and positive attitude. But the thing is that wether the CIC is interested to clear the back log or just shouting to make fool to applicants or public.Immigration minister still taking views of canadian public to strenghthen canadian immigration system. At the same he kept on hold the files of pre June 2010.If he is really sincere then why not making visa officies to work on our files. If we chack out the track record of immigration the we can easly understand that how much Conservative party policies are against the immigration.More ironic for us that they are in full power. Its my strong opinion that we should now more concentrate on our present jobs and leave our immigration fate on Canadian Immigration Ministe, where God is also helpless.

Good work Lakhvinder !
if new delhi VO has only 8130 applications pending from MI-1 then its good sign for us.I think you wanted to tell us that less inventory will take less time for processing. Am i right ?

+1 for you.
