Hi Guys,
I have a question on Verification call. Do they use the number given on the reference letter or do they research the company number on their own. The reason I am asking is that my company requires my HR head to travel outside India a lot and it is difficult to reach him on phone. It would be best if they can do their own research and call up my HO and do the verification. Does anybody have any idea what do they ask or who do they call?

The list seems to be growing a who lot. My AOR completes 120 days officially this Tuesday. I hope to see some movement in Month of October. Let us hope they move the files for April lot faster so we get to see our files being worked upon next month.

Yes,they will call at the number you've given on letterhead of your company.They will make some queries about your salary,job duties,job timings,work experience and on the same time they can ask these questions from your co-employee and from you also.

yes, i think harry is right that's the exact way they verify about the experience.. but i hv a question??? what happens if we r claiming points frm our past employment but the company has closed their work after the submission of our full docs to New delhi no matter what the reason was??? does they verify past employment or current employment?? is this a sign of worriiiiiiiii??????

Those who applied with NOC 0213. Can you please share you experience & expertise, technology you work in etc? Which city are you planning to land in (Suggestions are most welcome). Any Certification or training you are (or gonna) take before landing.

To Start with. I have total 4+ year of experience in Microsoft Dotnet technologies (MOSS, C#, ASP.NET) etc. I have thought of Toronto as my first preferred destination of landing. I am thinking of taking MCTS Certification in Sharepoint....

Please share your views & plans.

Any specific reason for choosing Edmonton. Is IT market good over there compare with other city ?

I am assuming AOR date to be 12th Jun and not 12th Jan.

Company closure should not be cause of worry as far as you have the employment contracts and reference letters.
