congrats gav and garry .. though the day has been disappointing due to refusals , however the silver lining is that we got movement going with 2+ medicals

Government of Canada supports workplace diversity project
Ottawa, September 30, 2010 —

The Government of Canada will provide more than $757,000 over two years to the Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre for a program that addresses the challenges and opportunities of a diverse workplace, Pierre Poilievre, Member of Parliament for Nepean-Carleton, announced today on behalf of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

“Employers and new Canadians in Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver will benefit greatly from the Multiculturalism Achievement Program for Learning Employers,” said MP Poilievre. “By supporting initiatives such as this, the Government of Canada is investing in the future—a future that depends on all of us growing together through our shared values, history and institutions.”

The Multiculturalism Achievement Program for Learning Employers (MAPLE) will consist of three activities, including:

Workshops for employers on improving cross-cultural communication in the workplace.
Unpaid internships for new Canadians with participating employers.
‘Mentor-to-Mentor’ exchanges, with representatives of participating employers and new Canadians mentoring each other on issues of intercultural understanding.
“MAPLE is about opportunity – the opportunity for employers to learn how to create conditions to make a diverse workplace thrive, as well as the opportunity for newcomers to develop networks of contacts and colleagues and establish themselves in their chosen fields in Canada,” said Sharon Kan, Executive Director of the OCCSC. “We are pleased that the Government of Canada has chosen to support this endeavour.”

Other partners in the project include Immigrant Services Calgary and the Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia.

Inter-Action, Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Multiculturalism Grants and Contributions Program, supports projects that promote intercultural understanding and equal opportunity for people of all cultures and faiths. For more information, please visit CIC’s website.
 
@tarakrs - I suppose you have given direction to everyone.

Earlier many people use to expect their ecas status change on every tuesday and got upset upon no change on ecas.

For example I am Ok with no status change in my ecas today post understand your analysis as somehow I knew it that it will take some time as my file xfer date is 3rd March,10.

Friends I want a suggestion.................

I submitted all notarized copies of certificates but hav not send any transcripts from university. One month before I enquired from a consultant about this...and he told me that he submitted 2-3 cases with transcripts and 2-3 without transcripts and they all get the visa....now what should I do?HuhHuhHuh

most of the people whose file was xferred in Jan have got an update on ECAS today.... Only you r left in this thread

its really a sad news brother................ just wait for the letter from chc and see what can be the reason...........
dont loose hope bro....... i can understand ur feeling but bro be strong , life doesnt end here u must knw that if one path closes than so many opens up....... this is what i have seen........
