The possibility at the moment is that you can have someone carrying your passport to India and send from india to the New Delhi visa office and thus they can send your passport back to your permeneant address in India. It is also possible someone with an authorization letter to collect the passport on your behalf that can avoid further delays on the postal system. I guess you are an indian and got a permnenant address in India.

I hope this would healp. I asked the same question a few couple weeks ago and got a reply from one of the forum member on this. See the below insert FYI. This info is from his personal experience and guess which is more reliable.

Can you please reveal your application date / AOR dates / Medical Request dates so that other guys waiting in this forum on their medical can figure out an approximate time and dream about their medical call. I applied in may and sent documents in October last year. Hope to hear from the ND office soon for medical.

It may be possible for anyone, with authorization letter, to collect passports from CHC, ND. But in my case, since my daughter(who is included in my application) is in Delhi, I told them that she would be collecting the passports. I had sent them her mobile no. They called her up yesterday morning for collection of stamped passports. And they have sent email to me confirming their discussion with her. She has to carry a copy of the email and some identity proof to CHC.

Hi everyone,
i received medical request from CHC,New Delhi today. I sent full docs in June first week. Now the problem is that i'm presently in UK and need to be here till May end. Can someone tell me if it's possible to take Medical test from here(UK) and send the same?
Also they've asked me to send passport. Now the problem is that i can't send passport by post/courier as its illegal . I have 45 days to send ALL the documents requested i.e. medical test report and passport. Can someone advise me what should be done. Thanks in advance.

my e-cas is changed to in process in november 2 2010 still i did not receive medicals & ppr. I received an email in january from them saying that some verifications are going on and this is done by agents ..since it is done by third party memebers they cannot say how much time they will take..............iam really worried what is taking chc such a long time....If somebody is also gone thru same phase please share their experince ...it would really help me....

Hi ammulya! They must be verifying your experience. Is there any possibility according to you that the agents will visit your workplace to verify your work? I haven't heard anything like this before. Members please share their views about work experience verification process of CHC ND. Do they have some agents who visit the workplaces? I haven't heard even about verification calls from anyone.

My NOC is 4131 . I had an experiance as oracle computer trainer for 3 years in my very first organisation...currently iam working as IT Engineer in cmc Ltd.. iam not sure how this goes by ....even its new to me.....please share ....

hi, you're not alone. we don't have the same vo (mine is vienna), but the no. of months both vos are listed as taking to process applications is the same. we went in process on nov. 3rd 2010, had a request for additional docs a few days later and still no medicals. did you email them to inquire about the status of your application or did they get in touch on their own? what kind of verifications are they doing through third party members - that makes no sense! i am planning to send them a case-specific inquiry in a few days (i'll use my children's new passports as an excuse) and will update when (that is IF) they get back to me. although i think they have to respond to case-specific inquiries if you contact them after the no. of months stated in your aor as the no. of months after which you should contact your vo if you haven't heard from them since receiving your 2nd aor...

My status changed to In Process on Jan 12, 2011, as quoted above.
Today i got a phone call from the embassy in Delhi that i need to go there to get my fingerprints taken. They have specified the date and time at which i should be present at the embassy for this.
Any idea what this is all about? I thought the next step was medical.
I dont need to take my family along, only i need to go there. They did not specify any documents also that i should bring. I was told that a telegram has been dispatched to my address with the same info, though i am yet to get it.

Please let me know what this means! The status of my application is still In Process only.

Yes. I have traveled to Canada couple of times in the past (somewhere around 2001-2) and to US around 4-5 times in the last 5 years.
All the travels have been as part of my work, and were arranged by my employers.
I dont remember whether my finger prints were taken by the Canadian authorities, but US Immigration does have my fingerprints records.
