Could you please share your details...like when you sent your application to Nova scotia, when you recieved first AOR, when your file got transfered, when you sent your full application to delhi visa office..etc.

This is very important...bcoz sharing these things will help us to understand how chc doing with our cases..

Hi Johny gaddar,

As my wife writing the IELTS on this week end, and we are expecting the score by last week of this month. Once we get the score we will take DD and we will send to Nova Scotia office Canada. May I know your case details like when did u send ur application packet and the status now pls.

If your wife is good in english, then i suggest you to make a dd soon and keep rest of your documents ready...the earliest you send your documents, the more the chances of your file to be within 1000 as per the new rules..

How does it affect the application depending on submission time and all...??

as per new rules applied by the Govt. of Canada on 26th June 2010.

Only 1000 applications will be considered from each of the skilled worker category list....

for eg..if your NOC is in new list..say 1111, then only 1000 applications shall be processed this year...rest will be returned..

The new rules have brought to tackle huge backlog that had created in past years..

But anyhow, if you r thinking to apply then apply ASAP, you may get lucky as your NOC can still have not filled yet...and also you have to submit IELTS while submitting your application to NOVA SCOTIA only.

one more question: are they only considering the first 1000 applications? if yes, then what if some of the applications will not qualify? what they do in this case? do they give chance to other appicants in the same NOC category??

Again one more question if you or anyone else could answer:
According to info on CIC website: "If you are applying under one of the 29 eligible occupations, as of June 26, 2010, a maximum of 20,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing in the following 12 months. Within the 20,000 cap, a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing each year.

what does this mean exactly? if I am not wrong then if they accept 1000 per each NOC then how many visas are issued per year as there are so many NOC's...??? If this is a case then why do they say 20,000????

Hi dear...let me answer your second query first....

Its very simple...Canadian High Commision have come up with this NEW RULES just to tackle the BACKLOG created during the recent years..We must understand that they will accept maximum 20,000 applications for this year From the 29 Occupation List. And maximum 1000, from each of the NOC.

let say if they have recieved 12000 overall applications till now, then only 8000 applications been left out to be filled within these 29 NOC.

Now if suppose, NOC 1111 have already got their quota full means 1000 applications...then they the probability will shift to the another NOC category...and they will stop taking application from NOC 1111.

again if NOC 3142 have recieved 800 applications till now, and they already got 20,000 applications as a whole..then also they won't considered your application as their overall maximum limit has achieved.

here is answer to your first query....

well, i m not sure on this...but i think if they when their maximum quota from each NOC and overall NOC will be completed.. they will return your application...because if they if they considered next probable applicants..then again their clearing of Backlog applications will hampered.

The main aim of these NEW RULES is to clear the BACKLOG.
and i dont think that can be achieved in the span of one year as they are simultaneously working on the Current files..

These above are only my assumptions..I could be wrong...!!

I m newbie to this forum. I submitted all my documents with ielts on 25th july 2010.Recieved AOR on 29th july and mentioned there if no response with in three months we can contact Delhi office. After 2 months ie on 8th october 2010 recieved a letter from agent mentioned that presently process time will take 6 to 8months.So waiting for next information (in proceed notification).Wht about other member's Possition.
