Hey d2013,

You should read some threads in other posts, especially their landing experiences. I read some did not carry the whole amount of money with them. $10,000 is a lot of money to carry and it is quite scary to loose that amount of cash.

Some have bank statements with them. They also brought a letter (Power of Attorney) to show that they have every intention to transfer that money to a Canadian bank.

If you prefer, arrange some traveller's cheque from your home country. Only you can cash them.
